These Celebrity Homes Cost More Than All the Houses in Your Neighborhood

Sometimes we feel like celebrities live in a different world than us with their lavish lives full of luxuries, whether those luxuries are expensive cars, designer clothing or trips around the world.

Some celebrity engagement rings are worth a fortune. Click here to read about them.

However, for most celebrities, there is no greater indication of wealth than their homes. With that in mind, with this article, let’s take a closer look at some of the most expensive celebrity homes out there.

Cindy Crawford

Throughout the 1990s, Crawford was the most famous face in modeling and the highest paid person in the industry. In addition to that, she was very successful in real estate and picked up several different desirable properties.

One of those properties, which she and her husband put up on the market about a year and a half ago, went for a price tag of $60 million! The mansion is over 5,000 square feet, has a tennis court, a pool and is located on the Malibu beachfront. Three acres is tough to get in that area of California, so the price is understandable.

Speaking of beaches, read this to discover some ridiculous celebrity vacations.

Ellen Degeneres

Ellen has been one of the biggest names in TV and comedy for years, and she’s made millions of dollars as a result. Up until last year, she and her wife, Portia de Rossi, owned a home simply known as “The Villa”.

The Villa is a Tuscan-style home in California. It spans over 10,000 square feet and features multiple libraries, nine fireplaces, along with several fountains and statues. They put the home on the market for $45 million. And you know what? The stunning architecture and features might just be worth it.

Bill Gates

Bill Gates is among the richest people on the planet, so it is no shock that he has one of the most expensive homes you will ever see. His mansion is located in Medina, Washington. It cost well over $60 million to build and is worth over double that today.

It sits at a whopping 66,000 square feet in size and is without a doubt one of the high-tech homes on the planet. It has a pool, bowling alley, library, and just about everything else you would expect from a home owned by the man who created the Microsoft Corporation.

Oprah Winfrey

In 2001, Oprah Winfrey purchased a home in Montecito, California for the cool price of $50 million. Today, that home is rumored to be worth close, possibly over $100 million.

It features 14 bathrooms, 6 bedrooms, 10 fireplaces, a giant in-home movie theater, and a lake that is home to her unique (and expensive) fish collection. It looks like something out of a movie and is befitting of someone as rich, famous and successful as Oprah.

Jerry Seinfeld

Seinfeld is one of the most successful actors and comedians of all time. The man is worth nearly a billion dollars, and as a result, had the money to purchase a $32 million property from none other than Billy Joel.

The 12-acre estate is located in the Hamptons, New York and features a pool, a guesthouse, and a full-sized baseball diamond. In addition to that, Seinfeld’s unbelievable garage is capable of holding 22 cars!
